PROJECT DESCRIPTION: 

Niven Park is located at Barry Way and Drakes Landing Road in Greenbrae, CA. There is a small existing playground in the middle of the park. The work consists of:

 Removal of the existing play structure, concrete curbing and wood fiber surfacing materials; installation of new water utility lines and drainage system; grading; installation of new play structures, ornamental features, art sculptures, tables, benches, drinking fountains, and other site furnishings; installation of new surfacing for pathways and the play areas; installation of short retaining walls and perimeter fencing; installation of landscaping materials, plants, and irrigation system. Standard vehicular & pedestrian traffic control and erosion control protocols shall be observed.   Removal of packing materials and general cleanup of the project area shall be included.

 All playground equipment, furnishings and materials shall be installed in a manner in accordance with current ASTM and CPSC playground safety standards and guidelines.  

SEALED BIDS SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO: 

City of Larkspur, Dept of Public Works, 325 Doherty Drive, Larkspur, CA 94939. Bids are due by 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Qualifications:
Due to substantial grading and civil work in project scope, Class-A General Engineering contractor's license preferred. Bidders with Class-B license must have appropriate specialty Class-C license to be considered.

Engineer's estimate: $600,000.
