Congratulations are in order to children's author Mac Barnett, who visited Larkspur Library last month! His picture book "Extra Yarn" won the 2012 Horn Book-Boston Globe Award for Best Picture Book. Mac has written many other wonderful books, including "Chloe and the Lion", "Guess Again" and "Mustache!", all of which are available at Larkspur Library.

We are thrilled to announce that popular author Mac Barnett will visit Larkspur Library on Thursday May 17th at 4:00. The author of many children's books including "Billy Twitters and His Blue Whale Problem", "Extra Yarn", and the Brixton Brothers will share stories and tales from his adventures as a children's writer. Children's Choice Book Awards are the only national book awards chosen by kids and teens. Vote now for your favorite books and check back to see who wins. Winners will be announced on May 7th to kick off Children's Book Week, which is May 7-13 this year.
