About Larkspur Public Library
Larkspur Public Library is a small public library serving the community of Larkspur, California. The library has been in its current location since it first opened in 1913, and echoes the small town charm of the City of Larkspur. Collections
The library collection is comprised of 50,000 books, dvds, audio books, and magazines. As part of the Marin County MARINet Consortium, the library shares the collections of the other five Marin County city libraries, the 10 Marin County Free Library branch libraries, and the Dominican University of California collection. Patrons have access to a full range of
library databases, and the wider library collections of surrounding North Bay counties via
SuperSearch.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Larkspur Public Library is to continue to enrich the lives of the community it serves by providing access to a collection of resources and services that meet the needs of the community. The Library strives to provide a wide range of materials, online resources, and programs that encourage lifelong learning and a love of reading in a welcoming environment. The Library is part of the MARINet consortium (Marin Automated Resources and Information Network), that enables members to share resources and use information technology to fulfill their missions of serving the public.
