What's In Store for the Rose Bowl Dance?
Tickets: Tickets are now sold out. We are so sorry, but there was great interest generated by the mailed invitation, and only 1000 available. A waiting list will be created if you email the Centennial chair (see below) or leave your name and email address with city staff at Parks and Recreation or Administration……. Tickets are $50 per person. This event is being designed for adults, as that was the program in the original Rose Bowl dances, but young people will not be turned away. Vintage attire is encouraged and the web site will have some ideas about that soon, so check back!
Dining before the dance: Many of Larkspur's fine restaurants have "caught the Centennial bug" and will be providing a pre-fixe dinner menu the night of the dance. They will have special seatings to allow you to dine early and then take the shuttle to the dance. When your tickets are purchased, you will receive the pre-dining card listing the participating restaurants and is also on the website.

The Dance: The dance will begin at 7:30 pm and run until 12:30 am. There will be three musical groups entertaining the guests: The Royal Society Jazz Orchestra, the Dick Bright Orchestra and the quartet Ready, Willing and Mabel. Dance Lessons: Dance lessons are being offered by the Larkspur Dept. of Parks and Recreation with Cynthia Glinka, dance instructor. Reserve your spot at one or all of the lessons by calling 927-6746. Classes will be Thursday evenings August 28, Sept. 4th and Sept. 11th. The fee is $10 per person, or $15 a couple. See the "dance card" on the website for Cynthia's message!

Parking: St. Patrick's Church has graciously allowed us to provide parking in their lot off Locust for patrons of the pre-dining and dance. A cable car shuttle will transport guests to the venue at Escalle on Magnolia, and run all evening to allow guests to come and go on their own schedule. Photography: Photographer Jude Moony will be at the dance with a large moon for patrons to sit and be photographed for souvenir purchase. This promises to be an exciting addition to the Rose Bowl tradition, and add to the vintage experience. Coat Check: Just as in the olden days, we'll have a coat check so you can prepare for possible chillier late night hours.
