Application for contractors to join City's Informal Bidders List.

  1. Application to Join City of Larkspur’s Informal Bidders List
    The City of Larkspur invites business to apply for inclusion in the City’s List of Registered Contractors. Qualified businesses will have an opportunity to participate in an informal bidding process (see bottom of form for explantion of process) for various City construction projects. Request for informal bids shall be sent to applicable businesses and include a general description of the project and required construction services, how to obtain additional information regarding the project, and the time/place for submission of bid proposals. These notices will be issued at least ten (10) calendar days prior to the bid due date.
  2. CSLB Trade Classifications*
    Check CSLB trade class in which your firm is licensed and wish to receive informal bid notices.
  3. Prequalification Question #1
    Your firm will be required to enter into a standard City construction agreement (see link at right). Has your firm reviewed the terms & conditions, including insurance requirements, and be able to execute this agreement?

    Has your firm’s CSLB license been suspended or revoked at any time during the last five 5 years? (Note -- contractor will not be qualified if answer is “yes.”)

          Has any claim concerning your firm’s work on a construction project been filed in court or arbitration?
          1. By adoption of its municipal code §2.44, the City has elected to become subject to the State of California Uniform Construction Cost Accounting Procedures, Public Contract Code §22032 et seq, which authorizes public agencies to engage in an informal bidding process for the award of contracts for public projects valued at $200,000 or less. The City agrees to maintain a list of qualified contractors, identified by the CSLB’s (Contractors State License Board) licensing classifications, and to send notice inviting informal bids to contractors for projects in applicable trade categories.
