This historic walking tour of Baltimore Canyon will start at the location of the steam-driven sawmill established in 1849 to produce much of the redwood lumber that built gold-rush San Francisco. The tour will highlight turn-of-the-century homes, campsites used by early vacationers, and the unique forest setting that made “Larkspur Canyon” a popular summer destination.
