Larkspur Facility - Station One:

This facility houses the Chief of Police, Field Operations Commander, Patrol Services, and Dispatch. It is maintained 24 hours with limited counter service between 5 p.m. and 8:30 a.m.

Corte Madera Facility - Station Two:

This facility houses an office for citizens to meet with officers, records, and storage. An officer may be called by using the blue phone box near the front door of the facility.

Field operations includes a Captain as Division Commander, five sergeants, nineteen police officers, and three Community Service Officers providing uniform police services to the communities of Corte Madera and Larkspur handling twenty-four hour by seven day coverage. This section is responsible for carrying out the Department's principal function of regulating criminal activities, and provided emergency and other public services. Approximately 21,680 calls for service are handled annually by the officers.

The Field Operations Division is currently commanded by Acting Captain Jim Shirk. Jim began serving the communities of Larkspur and Corte Madera in 1987 after 6 year of service in the US Army Military Police Corp. Jim has served in a variety of assignments with Twin Cities Police Authority including, patrol officer, investigations, firearms instructor, field evidence technician, special response team (sniper), crisis intervention team, and patrol supervisor. Jim was promoted to Acting Captain in 2009. Jim is a graduate of Kaplan University where he obtained an Associate of Applied Science in Criminal Justice. Jim is currently attending Columbia Southern University, finishing his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration. Jim is a graduate of California POST Supervisory course and holds many law enforcement certificates.
